Abstract
The essay is an analysis of the new 2019 adaptation of the classic novel "Little Women", written and directed by Greta Gerwig in 2019. The essay focuses especially on how Gerwig has been able to create both a very personal and modern, but also classic and respectful adaptation. The essay focuses especially on the script, but some notations are devoted also to direction, costume design and other elements of the film.
