Work (The Ninth Italian reporto on migrations)

Within the yearly Italian Report on Migrations (2003’s edition) realised by the ISMU Foundation – the main Italian scientific institution on migrations and interethnic cohabitation – this chapter focuses the attention on migrants’ insertion in the Italian labour market. After stressing the importance of migrant labour in the Italian landscape, it provides a general picture of the characterising features of migrant labour demand’s and supply’s., with a special emphasis on the entrepreneurship’s phenomena. Finally, it develops some concluding remarks and suggestions on labour migrations management, starting from an analysis of firms’ needs.
