Abstract
Healthcare providers should offer accurate information about fever management at all pediatric visits, educate parents about the most appropriate use and safe dosage of antipyretics, focus on procedures improving child’s comfort during fever, and explain which eventual signs or symptoms could suggest a serious illness. The consideration of autoinflammatory disorders and PFAPA syndrome in front of children with longlasting histories of periodically recurring fevers should also help reducing parents’ frustration and fever phobia
