Abstract
Although clinically important bleeding complications secondary to sphincterotomy are relatively rare, it is rather frequent to be confronted with "endoscopic" bleeding caused by section of the sphincter of Oddi. It is therefore advisable to be always ready to deal with this eventuality with all the necessary accessories.
