Abstract
This paper explores the implementation of the integrated system of education and instruction from birth to six years in the Aosta Valley, Italy. This system, established by Legislative Decree 65/2017, aims to promote continuity in the educational and scholastic paths of children, supporting their development through collaboration and shared planning among various educational sectors. The research-action-training project discussed in this paper facilitated the systematization and dissemination of existing practices in the region, aligning them with the principles of early childhood pedagogy. The study involved the analysis of 16 educational projects and the development of quality indicators for the funding and evaluation of initiatives within the 0-6 integrated system. Key findings emphasize the importance of interaction with local territories and families, as well as the necessity of accessibility, sustainability, inclusivity, and professional development within the 0-6 services.
