Abstract
The main results of an evaluation of services delivered by a public employmente centre (CPI)located in Northern Italy are presented and discussed. Firstly, a general picture of PES role in time of crises is delineated; then, the evaluation design and its methodological profile is described; finally, the most useful results for decision makers are briefly presented.
