Abstract
The extended networked view recently established in innovation literature is increasingly found in the construction industry whose value chain interconnects local and global actors who bring into big projects their specialized knowledge, skills, and solutions as well as their agendas and expectations toward the final outcomes. Construction projects in health care offer a prototypical context to investigate the complex dynamics that drive innovation creation and exchange in a networked and multi-actor system of value creation. This paper suggests a methodological approach to face such complex context. It is referred to a wide project that brings together the efforts of seven countries with the aim to explore the enablers and constraints of the innovative capacity in sustainable innovation of the construction industry in Europe. The paper is a methodological proposal that addresses this issue by suggesting a technique for data analysis integration that allows for inter-project data combination. With this proposal we seek to contribute to the improvement of collaboration beyond emic conceptual, cultural, or local boundaries.
