This article explores the multifaceted relationship between Ugo Da Como — early 20th-century Brescian politician, collector, and cultural patron — and the Zanichelli publishing house. Beginning in the 1920s, when Da Como joined Zanichelli’s board of directors, their connection evolved into a complex and productive collaboration. Da Como became both a significant client and an active supporter, facilitating the establishment of an Antiquarian Bookshop and publishing with Zanichelli his most important works, all centered on Brescian history.
