Abstract
This article takes into consideration the new needs and the changes of the healthcare and
the performance measurement tools. The research question is: do they fit? Are
performance measurement tools coherent with the changes that are taking place in the
healthcare sector? The conclusions are that Performance measurement tools are from the
1990s and they do not fit the needs of the 21st century patients any more
