The first chapter provides a summary of speculative and empirical studies on children's Theory of Mind, underlining the main functions and developments of this ability in children. The second chapter focuses on the topic ToM-schooling in school-age children, reviewing the literature about this topic and analyzing the relationship between ToM, teaching and learning. Finally, the third chapter introduces a new topic of study in the field of ToM: motivation to learn.
