Abstract
The scenario developing from the Gulf, to the Mashreq and the Maghreb is analysed,in the light of the rising role of Gulf Arab monarchies,trying to re-adjust their foreign policy strategies, in order to address the multifarious threats coming from transnational Sunni and Shi'a islamist forces, after 2011 events in the MENA.
