The relations of the GCC with Turkey emerge as part of a wider regional strategy, which aims to position the Gulf at the center of a world trading system. Enhanced complementarity between the Gulf region and Europe, and the Gulf region and the Mediterranean is seen as an ambitious and crucial goal.
