Abstract
In complex social and political contest of the End of XVII, the Congregazione managed to show itself particularly active in the search for contacts with the Madrid’s court. Besides this, the Congregazione tried at first to foster the spread of harsh criticism of the corruption and the deviation from official procedures regularly displayed by other institutions, and lost no occasion to denounce their venality.
