Abstract
The essay is a comment on John Rist's book "Real Ethics" (2002), but it develops a collateral side of the issues of the book: the difference between the moral problems as seen by the cultural elite and the moral problems as lived by the common people. This difference is also related to the problem that the media elite most frequently has a moral attitude that is greatly different from her audience. The essay develops some consequences of these differences.
