Abstract
This chapter reports on two workshops conducted with in-service primary and pre-school teachers regarding the use of children’s literature with young foreign language learners. In particular it discusses pre-school and primary teachers’ attitudes to using English language picturebooks and graphic novels in the classroom and addresses some of their misgivings about their own ability to use L2 children’s literature. It also describes some of the strategies and ideas that were offered to teachers with the aim of building their confidence.
