Abstract
The essay aims to provide Italian high-school teachers with a teaching plan on Elizabethan fashion and sumptuary laws. The text of Elizabeth I's proclamation of 1597 is contextualized and analyzed in detail. The essay also suggests activities, in-depth studies and references (books, films and Web).
