Abstract
The actuality of Brechts's work and perspectives are highlighted,as the German writer was able to describe quite accurately the language and phoney moral reasons put forward by white-collar criminals to cover up their wrongdoings. Such techniques may be recognized also in the social and economic forces and ideologies as well which have favoured the current financial crisis and the appalling inequalities which are their outcome and cause.
