Abstract
The article is aimed at delineating the consequence that technology is having on anthropology in the Contemporary Age. The new technological possibilities offered by science pose new questions that urgently necessitate an ethical answer. These possibilities can radically alter man’s anthropological essence. The Authors in order to make evident the self-determination and the non-disposability of the body used two literary narratives, My Sister’s Keeper of Jody Picoult and Never Let Me Go of Kazuo Ishiguro, in which it’s clear the anthropological reductionism present in the technological field.
