Abstract
The monograph concerns two fundamental strategies in Russian textual organization: particles and diathesis.\r\nMoving from the state of the art around these topics in Russian linguistics, a description of their main functional values is then given, with a special concern on differences between Italian and Russian approaches. Further research prospects are sketched too.\r\nAccording to the examples, particles in Russian language seem to have pragma-textual functions, which are essential to text cohesion, whereas in Italian they are often expressed using syntax and connectives. This means that pragma-textual functions in Russian texts are more implicit.\r\nAs far as diathesis is concerned, while from the typological point of view Russian and Italian do not differ, from the empirical point of view they actually do. In fact, when organizing the attantial structure, Italian prefers lexical variation, whereas Russian employs mostly morphological tools (verb affixation).
