Abstract

This essay aims to examine the question of the prospects of reform of religious laws, from the perspective of State-enforced religious rules. This question will be addressed by focusing on the issue of get in Israel, which is characterized, as it is known, by a peculiar system of religion-based personal status laws, concurrent jurisdiction between religious and civil courts, and State-enforced religious family law.
