Abstract
Addressing the issue of early school leaving necessitates a comprehensive examination of a profoundly intricate and diversified phenomenon, both within the European context and in the specific case of Italy. This assertion is substantiated by recent data on early school leavers as documented by Eurostat in 2022.
To effectively counteract this phenomenon, a pivotal role is assumed by educational administrators, with a particular emphasis on their redefined educational responsibilities. Within this framework, the present contribution offers theoretical and methodological insights, drawing upon empirical observations derived from the 3-H Project (Head, Heart, Hand).
The focal point of inquiry pertains to the vocational aspects of managerial roles, encompassing organizational adeptness and leadership competencies. Additionally, the ability of managers to endorse the educational trajectory of each student
through the facilitation of scholastic and extracurricular engagements is explored. Consequently, these dimensions are posited as strategic interventions to foster well- being and combat the issue of early school leaving.
