Economic sustainability and social sustainability: the challenge of continuity of development in Francesco Vito’s analysis · Francesco Vito’s writings on economic development cover a period that goes from the mid-thirties to the end of the sixties of the twentieth century. This work first considers the presence of the theme of economic development in the author’s scientific production; then identifies the aspects characterizing his theory and policy for development in connection with that of contemporary authors; finally, it analyzes the role that Vito assigns to international cooperation to ensure continuity to economic and social development
