Abstract
The significant increase in marital separations and the new ties between partents and children -that form and evolve during the different steps of the marital separation (as for instance in monoparental families and stepfamilies ) – challenge current educational ideas. The essay first presents statistical and socio-anthropological data, then proposes a pedagogical study, using an existential-phenomenological point of view, to provide a meaningful horizon to today’s questions in education.
