Abstract
This essay intends to present the Seminar of Orientalistic studies and research entitled to the memory of Luigi Cagni, a well-known Assyriologist and Hebraist of Brescia origin, recently inaugurated (2018) at the Documentation and Research Center of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart - Brescia, in order to keep the volumes and coordinate the activities of two important historical collections such as the "Felice Montagnini" Library of Historical and Philological Studies on the Bible, and the "Francesco Vattioni" Archive of Bibliographic and Documentary Sources of the Ancient Near East. The collection has recently been enriched by the personal library of the illustrious semitist Giovanni Garbini, donated to the Cagni Seminary in the name of friendship with these scholars with whom he shared studies and research.
