Abstract
The essay collects and examines patristic sources, as well as medieval and modern documents, about the persistence in Christian Aquileia and then in historical Friuli (corresponding to the territories of the Archdioceses of Udine and Gorizia, to the Diocese of Concordia) and neighboring areas, such as the Istria and Cadore, of forms of Sabbatarian observance of Judeo-Christian origins, among which the widespread popular veneration of 'Santa Sabida' (frl. 'Sante Sabide') constitutes a characteristic and curious manifestation especially in the countryside.
