Abstract
This special issue of the «Rivista di Filosofia Neo-Scolastica» benefits from the
contributions of distinguished scholars from four countries and includes essays in
English, German and French. This project has its roots in a series of conferences
organized at the Institute of Philosophy of the Technische Universität Berlin
in 2016-2018. Thanks to generous sponsorship of the Alexander von Humboldt
Foundation and the support of Günter Abel (Center for Knowledge Research),
we were able to organize a permanent seminar devoted to the topic of objectivity.
Many of the scholars who have participated in this seminar accepted to publish
their essays in this issue. We are also very pleased to host the contributions of
other scholars who, although did not directly participate in the events in Berlin,
were motivated to take part in this discussion due to the affinity of their research
interests with the topic at stake.
