Abstract
The chapter presents the results of focus groups carried out with migrant families
and educational professionals, in primary schools of Brescia. Five key-dimensions are considered in the analysis:
1. Welcome of migrant families and their integration
2. What migrant families know about the local education system
3. Parent-school communication
4. Parental involvement in the school setting
5. Parental support at home and academic socialisation
