Abstract
This article intends to retrace the path that led Pierre-Daniel Huet to the publication of his "Origeniana" in 1668, while presenting a cross section of some "foyers" of scholarship involved in researches of Church history. Such events, composing the scenario in which Huet's Origen is placed, shed light on his working method and the aims he pursued, allowing to better evaluate the role played by Huet's edition in what has been defined "the golden age of Patrology".
