The monographic issue delves into the complex relationship between, on one hand, religion(s) and spirituality and, on the other hand, current developments and needs emerging from today's organizational landscape. In this vein, after a thick reflective essay establishing a multi-level theoretical framework and suggesting promising or needed research directions, the essay dwells on specific topics which range from "spirituality and well-being at work" to new forms of the spirit of capitalism, from the building of a Muslim social thought to a critical analysis of present scientific literature in the field. As a whole, the essay conveys the key message that time has come to devote deeper and more systematic attention to the organization-religion nexus.
