Abstract
The essay presents a reflection of some theoretical and empirical dimensions of the today's citisenship. Facing a "global citisenship" means for most poeple to be willing to go beyond the formal bound of citizenship and rely to people living here but born or belonging elsewhere. Teachers must take the opportunity to reflect on their own vision of citizenship, start a reflective practice and make changes in the professional work at school. A list of "indicators" is provided at the end of the essay in order to test the quality and the innovation of one's own teaching practice.
