Abstract
In this essay Letizia Gianformaggio addresses the distinction between rules\r\nand principles by relating it to the interpretation of the constitution. Among\r\nthe theses advanced two are particularly important: the difference between\r\nprinciples and rules emerges only at the moment of interpretation-application; the argumentation of statutory and constitutional interpretation (of rules\r\nand principles) can be rationally controlled.
