Abstract

In the preface to the volume "Labour in the international Charter" the editor presents the series of conferences whose reports have been collected in the volume, and the contributions of the authors published in the book, while offering his interpretation to the reader. Confronted with the growing difficulties of the European Union in protecting social rights, the stakeholders in the member States try more and more often to find new ways to defend employees' interests through international labour law instruments.
