Point-of-Care Lung Ultrasound findings in novel coronavirus disease-19 pnemoniae: a case report and potential applications during COVID-19 outbreak

An outbreak of a novel coronavirus\r\ndisease-19 (nCoV-19) infection began in\r\nDecember 2019 in Wuhan, China, and now involved\r\nthe whole word. Several health workers\r\nhave been infected in different countries.\r\nWe report the case of a young man with documented\r\nnCoV-19 infection evaluated with lung\r\nultrasound and discuss potential applications\r\nof lung ultrasound in this setting. Lung ultrasound\r\nallowed the identification of nCoV-19 infection\r\nat bed-side. Moreover, lung ultrasound\r\ncan have several other advantages, such as reduced\r\nhealth worker exposition to infected patients,\r\nrepeatability during follow-up, low-costs\r\nand easier application in low-resource settings.
