N2 - Several pigmented lesions of the ocular fundus can be detected on routine ophthalmic examination. Pigmented tumoral lesions, both benign and malignant, can arise from the retinal pigment epithelium or from choroidal melanocytes. A careful evaluation of the clinical and imaging features can help to differentiate the lesions, avoiding diagnostic errors.
