Abstract
Piero Dorazio has been one of the most important element of relation between Italian art and the United States during the Fifties and Sixties. For this volume, dedicated to the way Italian and U.S. art has come to confront with reciprocal advantage, the essay concerns how Dorazio has tqaken part in some editorial and exhibitive enterprises that gave the opportunity to trasnfer some of euopean values in abstract art to America and to present american art in Europe. In the final part is also considered the evolution of Dorazio's art around 1954-1955, after his first long stay in the United States.
