N2 - Increasing interest in measuring parenting styles, especially with\r\nthe Parenting Style and Dimensions Questionnaire, has emerged in\r\nthe last 17 years. However, a critical review of studies using this\r\ninstrument to assess parenting styles has not been done. The present\r\narticle proposes an extensive review of studies that applied the\r\ninstrument, focusing in particular on the different uses of the scale,\r\nits psychometric properties, and its association with other constructs.\r\nA discussion about the applicability, measurement reliability and\r\nvalidity of the instrument is provided.
