N2 - The articles included in this special issue aim at enriching a discussion that, while seemingly having abated over the past fifteen years, is still very much worth engaging with, i.e. the role of paradigm thinking and models in organisation studies (OS). In particular, this collection contributes to facilitating a renewed focus on the implications and development of paradigm thinking in the field both by offering fresh perspectives on crucial points of passage of the original paradigms debate in the 1980s and 1990s and by, more directly, silhouetting the paradigm idea against the backdrop of current agendas and trajectories in OS scholarship.
