Abstract
Starting from the hellenic culture and from the greek model of polis (especially the aristotelian notion of polis-koinonia), the western community is a very complex form of philosophical and political-legal system or association. Within the concept of community, we can observe a structural tension between ideology and utopia (with particular reference to the notion of 'public order') which represents a relevant perspective in order to understand the experience of law as a whole.
