Abstract

These notes refer to the course of ’Statistica’. They essentially originate from the lectures of Prof. Angelo Zanella, who has teached for several years at the School of Economics of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. They give applicative notions useful in the economic, business, management, arts and cultural management, and tourism sciences. The subjects that are dealt pertain descriptive statistics, association and dependence studies, and elements introductory to probability calculus. This e-book has a companion site (currently available only in Italian) at http: //www.educatt.it/libri/materiali. The site represents a valid aid to preparation of the written exam; namely, it is linked to the material with the solution of several exam texts (of which it is also available an hard-copy version). The text ’Temi e soluzioni per l’esame di statistica’ gives, at different levels of support, a link to theoretical subjects, to exercises results and to the guided and detailed solutions.
