Non Small Cell Lung Cancer Associated to Dipnech: A Clinico-Pathological Analysis of 32 Cases

While a certain literature evidence suggests that DIPNECH/tumorlets could be precursor of lung carcinoids, there are very few data reporting their association with NSCLC with no large investigation on clinical and oncological implications. Our results suggest that DIPNECH may be associated in a low but not neglible percentage of NSCLC (2.5%), especially in the adenocarcinoma (3.8%). Despite\r\nlimited by the small number of cases, these patients experienced a very good prognosis and some peculiar clinical manifestations. Since no data are available, we warrant further deep analysis to investigate this topic.
