Abstract
Studying the bronze vessel fragments found in several Greek sanctuaries, some characters appear recurrent, as the meaningful quantity of full casted pieces, as feet and handles, complete or broken, while the body of the vessels is often missing. Starting from a close analysis of the fragments from the Athenian Acropolis, it is now possible to get new conclusions about some questions, as the reasons, why so many casted bronze vessels fragments have been found buried in Greek sanctuaries and why complete pieces are so few; which can be the relation between these fragments and the original dedicated objects; and which kind of disposal procedure was used in Greek Sanctuaries for the bronze votive offerings or normally used tools when broken, out of date or simply too many.
