Abstract

This is a review of a very important book on theatre in Renaissance Florence by Michel Plaisance. The author, one of the best european scholars about this matter, collected some essays on different aspects of florentine theatre between the republican and the principality period, in particular under the rule of Lorenzo de' Medici and the duke Cosimo I.
