Mediazione erodianea per Epafrodito fr. 16 B.-B.? Ovvero le citazioni nominali di Erodiano nel VMK

According to a new analysis, schol. AextT Il. II 8a E. should derive entirely from Herodian’s Ἰλιακὴ προσῳδία. This scholion seems to discuss the problematic expression βάσκ’ ἴθι (read by Tyrannion as a single word) and comments on ἴθι. The quotation of Epaphroditus (fr. 16 B.-B.) is not of exegetical origin. The mention of Herodian’s name in the middle of the scholion is due to a further epitomization of this section. A final Appendix describes different methods of epitomization of Ἰλιακή in Venetus A.
