Abstract
A history of the problem of philosophical communication in the Epicurean tradition, from Epicurus himself to Lucretius, shows that the School accepted one of the Aristotelian "virtues" (= clarity, saphéneia) and discussed with the other schools the issues of style and of philosophical writing.
