Abstract
The essay aims to study the activity of Parliamentary Committee for the
rationalization of regulation, since its creation until today. Proceeding from the analysis
of the rules concerning its functions and of the concrete functioning of this
parliamentary body, the paper offers an interpretation about the role of Committee in
the light both of development of policies for rationalization of regulation and of
evolution of the role of Parliament within the relationship with the Cabinet. The
experience of this Committee, in fact, is a good “test-bed” about the trends concerning
the cooperation between the Parliament’s Chambers and about the combination of
parliamentary powers of control, political address and co-legislation.
