Abstract
The chapter investigates how Italian media have framed the topic of phone interceptions in the last decade, by analyzing a corpus of articles taken from the two major Italian newspapers as well a less systematic corpus of politically-oriented newspapers and blogs. What emerges is a strong defense of interceptions by left-wing voices and a strong condemnation by right-wing ones, a position somewhat incompatible with some of the broader political lines of both parties.
