Abstract
The book is a collection of essays devoted to the problem of unemployment, written by scholars of various disciplinary backgrounds. It offers some indications and suggestions for the understanding of the unemployment phenomena in the contemporary Italian and European society, and for the promotion of policies and initiatives aimed at improving the occupational chances of unemployed workers.
