Abstract

This contribution offers a repertory of the researches realized in Lombardy during the 1990’ and concerning; dimensions and characters of immigrant population residing in the region; the economic dimension of integration (work, entrepreneurship, professional training, remittances and so on); the social integration and the access to welfare services; the migrants’ children insertion in the educational system; the Italians’ attitudes toward immigrants and the role of the media.
