Abstract
The complexity challenges families in taking on and exercising the parental function. Parents become through a process of permanent education, in a continuous interactions between subjects and institutions, to negotiate the parental function and to convey models and styles of action.\r\nThe aim of this article is to investigate, in a pedagogical perspective, the representations of parental roles, starting from the narratives of some professionals, working in the “Consultori familiari” of Christian inspiration. The analysis shows consolidated views and implicit, to bring out some useful dimensions to understand how they can affect the construction of parental and family identity.
