Abstract
In the fourth book of his History of the Empire after Marcus Herodian says nothing
about the Constitutio Antoniniana of 212 since in his representation of Caracalla,
aimed at portraying the imperator as a violent and bloody tyrant only interested in
military life, intends to exclude all the civil measures of his reign.
